Eirliani Abdul Rahman

Eirliani quit the diplomatic life to pursue her twin passion for helping abused children, and to enjoy the great outdoors. She co-founded YAKIN (Youths, Adult survivors & Kin In Need) which is a member of Twitter's Trust & Safety Council, to work in the area of child rights and child protection. YAKIN organises rock climbing camps for children from abused and/or disadvantaged backgrounds, and youths-at-risk. Eirliani won the 2015 BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Award for her work on child sexual abuse in India. She is a member of the Advisory Council of the Global Diplomacy Lab and writes for the Huffington Post on the issues of child abuse and child online safety. A graduate of the London School of Economics, she divides her time between Berlin, Delhi and Singapore, and is an avid climber and mountaineer. She is a member of India's first indoor climbing gym Delhi Rock (www.delhirock.com).
