Liz grew up in Papua New Guinea, where she ran around barefoot and climbed volcanoes. She became renowned over the years for her Hobie Cat 16 titles and her oceanic racing skills. She has raced in two editions of the Volvo Ocean Race; and has competed in the french solo sailing race Solitaire du figaro.
