OutdoorVoyage allows you to book multi-day and short experiences and activities; but also flights and accommodations. Our platform is designed to help you book the experience first, and then add on whatever else you need.
There's no single way to begin designing your OutdoorVoyage, which is what makes it so special. (And for some, a little intimidating!)

Create Your Voyage: Invite your Travel Group, Mix, Match, & Explore
You've probably already had some thoughts, dreams and inspiration on where you want to go and what you want to do. Maybe you’re traveling with a partner, family or friends. OutdoorVoyage was designed precisely for these human interactions. Instead of juggling a dozen WhatsApp or iMessage groups, our Voyage Chat is designed to make travel plans a reality, all in one place.
So What’s a ‘Voyage’?
On OutdoorVoyage, we describe a “Voyage” as a complete plan, end to end, from the time you leave home until the time you return. Think of it as the complete set of travel plans that you’ll have, all in one place.
When you first create a Voyage, it will be named after the first adventure you might have added, but you can also customize the name (e.g., "Tom’s Kenya Trip Spring 2025") using the "Edit Voyage" button, and upload your own cover image.
Your Voyage is also a place to store your inspiration and your memories. You can upload images, notes, links and PDFs so that you have one single place for all your travel stuff, end to end.
Most importantly, share your Voyage to add your friends and family into the Voyage chat. You can either copy the unique and secure Voyage link and paste it into your existing family iMessage, Whatsapp or email group; or you can just add everyone’s email addresses into the Voyage.
Your Voyage chat is private to your group, and a secure and safe way to communicate as well as store inspiration and agree on your plans before booking anything.
Later, you can also share your Voyage with other friends who might want to travel like you did, and ask you for all your notes, bookings and whatever else - so all you’ll have to do is share your completed Voyage; and they’ll have everything you did in one place!
When you start adding Adventures, your Voyage chat becomes a way to communicate with individual Operators and OutdoorVoyage support, allowing you to customize and book your trip.
Travel Is About Human Interaction
In an age of AI slop, fake anything and automated interaction, Outdoor Voyage believes in real humans and real connection.
Outdoor Voyage stands apart by requiring communication with an operator before booking. We believe communication creates trust; and sets expectations. If you’re traveling to far-flung destinations, you should be able to have all your questions answered and your expectations matched before you pay.
So on Outdoor Voyage, there's no "PAY NOW" button forcing you to buy something without talking with someone.
Instead, you add adventures to your Voyage and message the operators. Once you and the operator are aligned, they will send you a prompt to book your adventure via the Voyage chat. This intentional design choice prevents misunderstandings that can ruin a trip. By communicating directly with a real person, you ensure clarity on your request and the operator's ability to provide the adventure on your chosen dates. It's a slightly more involved process, but it guarantees you know exactly what to expect before you embark on your journey.
Hit the Add Adventure button or look on top for Explore All Adventures. Type anything you might be looking for, and add it to your Voyage.
You can also use our integrated map to search. This is perfect if you don't have a specific destination or activity in mind.
You can add as many adventures as you like; and only the Group Leader (you!) can chat with each Operator you add. If your Voyage group has suggestions or ideas you want to discuss, go ahead and bring it up with the Operator.
Add Flights
Outdoor Voyage has integrated flight bookings. You can search for and add any flights you need, one way or return, at the same price or lower than most online travel platforms.
Add Accommodation
Outdoor Voyage has access to low rates on over 2 million hotels worldwide; as well as rail tickets, car and van rentals and more. Just reach out to Outdoor Voyage Support in your Voyage Chat, and we’ll set it up for you!
What’s an Operator?
We believe that travelers should experience destinations and adventures with local guides and businesses that have expertise in their own regions and destinations, and put their money into the destination they’re traveling to. We call these local businesses “Operators”. Instead of booking with a travel agency that’s putting most of your money in their own pockets, you’ll be directly paying these local operators and supporting their community! What could be better than that?
On OutdoorVoyage, local operators are fully vetted - we run them through complete checklists to confirm that they’re fully qualified and insured to perform their trips.
An Operator page showcases all the adventures offered by a specific operator. On the left, you'll find a description, links to their website and social media, and a "Send Message" button. The right side displays a grid of their adventures.
Remember, even if an adventure isn't listed, messaging a local operator might make your idea a reality!
