GLP Films (GLP), the award-winning content marketing agency dedicated to sustainable tourism, announced the official selections for the 2nd annual “Best Sustainable Tourism Films” competition. GLP invited the travel industry to submit their best short films that support the overall theme of sustainable tourism. More than one hundred films were submitted by travel trade organizations and filmmakers from around the globe. The five official selections represent all sectors of the travel industry, including travel brands, production companies, media, destinations, and tour operators. The winning films were chosen based on the strength of their sustainable tourism messaging, overall video quality, and the use of compelling storytelling.
The top sustainable tourism videos span five continents and cover diverse sustainability-related themes from community tourism and wildlife conservation to local food, women empowerment, and cultural heritage. The Official Selection includes sustainable tourism videos from Black Forest Collective, Wideoyster Magazine, World Nomads, G Adventures, and Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism.
“We are excited to celebrate inspiring messages of sustainable tourism through video storytelling. We thank all the travel brands and filmmakers that submitted their videos, and hope these positive stories of tourism and humanity add a little light to the challenging times the travel industry and the world are facing right now,” states Laura Knudson, Marketing Director of GLP Films.
